Dr. Cling is an experienced psychotherapist with training in psychoanalysis. She received her Ph.D. from NYU, and has Postdoctoral Certificates from NYU and the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR). Dr. Cling is a trained forensic psychologist, experienced in forensic evaluations and court testimony. She has a Ph.D. from NYU, a J.D. from UCLA and a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychiatry and Law from USC. She has appeared in Federal and State courts in New York and California on issues ranging from custody and immigration to domestic violence and sex trafficking. She writes about forensic psychology and teaches at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY. She is available for forensic evaluations and expert witness testimony by arrangement.

Dr. Cling publishes and also presents in the areas of Clinical and Forensic Psychology. She has recently co-authored a chapter on Interviewing Battered Women for the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and has articles and books ranging from Law & Mental Health Professionals: New York (Supplement) published by the American Psychological Association to Sexualized Violence against Women and Children published by Guilford. Dr. Cling is available for speaking engagements by arrangement.
