Dr. Cling has been working as a forensic psychology expert in New York and California since completing her PostDoctoral Certificate in Psychiatry and Law at USC in 1982. She has both a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from NYU and a JD from UCLA Law School. She has testified in court frequently, in cases ranging from custody and parental rights to immigration and Hague Convention cases, to child abuse, domestic violence and sex trafficking.
Dr. Cling has worked with large law firms, government organizations, not-for-profit institutions, sole practitioners, and private individuals. She can prepare psychological evaluations, testify in court as an expert, or render forensic psychological advice, as needed. Her approach is very flexible, and she tries to meet each client’s needs individually. Dr. Cling has appeared on behalf of the defense as well as the prosecution.
